Will the S&P 500 be up from October 5 to October 9, 2026?
The S&P 500 closed at 7,722.85 on October 2, 2026, after a soft September jobs report cooled rate-hike bets. This market resolves YES if the index's official close on October 9 is at or above its official close on October 5. A lower October 9 close does not qualify.
Resolution rules · English binding text
For this market the baseline is the official closing level of the S&P 500 index (SPX) for the October 5, 2026 regular session, set at 16:00 ET — equivalent to October 5, 2026, 12:00 (UTC-8) and October 5, 2026, 20:00 UTC — and the settlement level is the official closing level for the October 9, 2026 regular session, set at 16:00 ET — equivalent to October 9, 2026, 12:00 (UTC-8) and October 9, 2026, 20:00 UTC, as confirmed by S&P Dow Jones Indices. This market resolves YES if the settlement level is higher than the baseline. Resolves NO if the settlement level is lower than the baseline. Only the first official closing level published for each of the two sessions is binding; intraday levels, futures, ETFs such as SPY, after-hours moves and later corrections do not change the outcome. If no regular session is held on either reference date, the official close of the nearest preceding regular session is used for that reference point. A settlement level exactly equal to the baseline resolves YES (higher bracket). Resolution sources: spglobal.com/spdji / reuters.com / apnews.com
