Will the IMF Executive Board complete Pakistan's fourth EFF review before December 16, 2026?

An IMF mission opened talks in Islamabad on September 23, 2026 on the fourth review of Pakistan's 37-month $7 billion Extended Fund Facility; the third review took about six weeks to travel from staff-level agreement in late March to Board approval on May 8, 2026. This market resolves YES if the Executive Board completes the fourth EFF review before the deadline. A staff-level agreement on its own does not qualify.

Resolution rules · English binding text

This market resolves YES if the International Monetary Fund publishes an official press release stating that its Executive Board has completed the fourth review under Pakistan's 37-month Extended Arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility, dated at or before December 15, 2026, 23:59 (UTC-8) — equivalent to December 16, 2026, 07:59 UTC. Resolves NO if no such Board completion is published by the deadline. Only Board completion of the fourth EFF review counts; a staff-level agreement, a mission concluding statement, reviews under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility, an Article IV consultation and disbursements announced without Board completion do not qualify. If the arrangement is cancelled, suspended or replaced by a new program before the deadline, the market resolves NO. Resolution sources: imf.org / reuters.com / brecorder.com
